Natural Beauty and Wildlife
Discover normally inaccessible areas and experience stunning natural beauty and wildlife in its own habitat. Whatever your ability, there’s a trip here for you. Distances covered are always flexible and entirely tailored to suit you.
Fort William: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
Starting in Fort William, Loch Linnhe offers a trip right on the doorstep of the UK's "Outdoor Capital" and gives you unparallelled views of Ben Nevis from a new perspective. You have the option to cross the water to Ardgour then head west through the Corran Narrows where it opens out to the spectacular scenery of Loch Eil and the mountains beyond.
Glencoe: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
Located just south of Fort William this is an ideal beginner’s trip. Loch Leven has mountains crowding in on both sides and offers sheltered bays with an outstanding coastline and views of Glencoe and the Mamores. A one way journey is an ideal paddle with the wind and tide at your back. You will see a variety of seabirds and possibly seals or even an otter.
Corran Narrows: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
Close to Fort William this trip offers seal or bird watching and an interesting paddle through the tidal narrows at Corran. A north bound journey takes you past Black Rock, a favourite sea haul-out and on towards Fort William. Alternatively, head across Loch Linnhe to the tranquillity of Ardgour, perhaps seeing some eagles or porpoise along the way. One way or round trips are available.
Loch Sheil: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
Paddle from Glenfinnan, just west of Fort William on the “Road to the Isles”. The head of Loch Sheil is where Bonnie Prince Charlie first raised his standard at the start of the 1745 Jacobite Uprising and is also home to the famous Harry Potter viaduct. Loch Shiel is a narrow fresh water loch surrounded by mountains and offering stunning views south into the Moidart and Sunart hills. It is home to some of Britain’s rarest birds including Golden and White Tailed Eagles.
Sound of Arisaig: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
Protected by hundreds of small tidal islands known as skerries, Arisaig bay is an ideal spot to begin an adventure. This special environment is home to a huge variety of sea and wading birds, colonies of seals and a thriving otter population. Traveling silently by sea kayak is the perfect way to immerse yourself in wildlife here. Weather permitting, we may journey up the coastline towards Mallaig past the famous 'Silver Sands' of Morar whilst taking in stunning views of the Inner Hebrides.
Loch Ailort: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
A day trip out to the west coast takes you to Loch Ailort, a sheltered sea loch with amazing views out to the islands of Eigg, Muck and Rum. If all’s going well we will head out and feel the Atlantic swell, stopping off at one of the beautiful beaches or islands for a lunch break.
Port Appin: Half/Full Day - £40/£65
Not far from Ballachullish, this is a journey based around the spectacular Castle Stalker. From the 'put-in' you can paddle over to the islands of Shuna and Lismore. This scenic trip offers sheltered water and options for an island circumnavigation before returning back via the ocean bound castle.
